A dear brother asked me for some tips on what scriptures he can share at his high school reunion. After thinking about it a few days, I felt God can communicate His truths at a class reunion with the scriptures I selected.
Here’s my response:
“Good morning (my dear brother), I kept your request in mind. I thought about a few passages that may relate to your high school reunion message, if it's not too late.
Psalm 139:13-18
tells us that God began our lives in our mother's womb.
Prov. 90:12 tells us that
we should take seriously every opportunity to gain godly wisdom each
day of our lives.
That's why we attended church (learning spiritual truths), public schools (discovering truths in various subjects), and college (learning about deeper truths and communicating them in a practical way).
Lastly, we should keep in mind that ‘There is a time for everything...’
(Eccl. 3:1-8). Over the years, every classmate should have learned those lessons in life.
So, what's left for all of the classmates (us too) to do?
Do this:
‘Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God’ (Heb. 12:1-2). I hope that helps.
Sorry I put more than I intended. My thoughts just kept flowing. 🙏🏾❤️”
I hope that helped you too.
Blessings!
