A Friend Asked, "Why Does Bruce Text His Lessons and Views Rather Than Use a Podcast?"
My answer:
I have a website that is primarily for reading (basicTruthMinistry.com). It’s not case-sensitive. It’s like an Op-Ed section in a newspaper. I’ve been asked about doing a podcast, but that would be too demanding on my time right now.
I get questions and requests for my thoughts on various topics every week. Most of the time, they are reflections of my thoughts after I read scripture which I frequently use to support my views.
I enjoy responding to all the questions and requests. I usually send them in text form to my friends and relatives. Lord willing, I’d like to put all of them in a book and entitle it, “Think on These Things,” or “Have You Even Considered This?” Some content is controversial, and that’s understandable. I’m tolerant of disagreements and still love those who disagree with me. The bottom line is God is right, and while neither one of us is God, it’s still okay to exercise freedom of speech in a decent and intellectually honest manner. That’s the way believers in Christ should communicate, especially since we are commissioned to share the gospel with the lost (Luke 24:46-48).
Blessings!
