Truth Matters

Good morning, my brothers. Thank you Luke and Torry for your prayers. My worldview is based on Scripture which makes politics a far less issue with me. Why? Because God’s truth is my highest concern. Jesus said, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” Too many people, including true believers, don’t really understand that passage and take it for granted.

While men “suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Rom 1:18), like they do in socialist/communist countries, the truth can still be known from God’s word, including from God’s natural revelation (Ps. 19:1ff). The primary source of truth is God’s word, and it is the lens through which all men should view life. Otherwise, Satan succeeds in deceiving all who don’t know the truth and all who know it but reject it. If truth is not undergirding any political ideology, government structure, philosophical ideology, etc., their foundation is fragile and will quickly crumble. That was evident in the days of Noah, the Tower of Babel, Sodom and Gomorrah, Egypt’s disaster at the Red Sea, etc. National crumblings have and are occurring today: countries in Europe, Cuba, Venezuela,

Argentina, etc. These crumblings are judgments from God, although Gods is allowing Satan to retain a certain amount of control (Rev. 12:12). America is not exempted, and it’s just a matter of God’s timing. As I observe the beliefs, behavior, and general attitude of US leaders in all three levels of government and the increasing interest of socialism, the influence of Islam, the schemes of China and Russia, and the increasing persecution of true Christians, that tells me that the devil is still in control, though limited. It also tells me to keep expecting the imminent coming of Jesus Christ for His church.

While waiting, I’m staying in God’s word so I can keep discerning what is true and what is false.

Blessings!
