The Reality of The Trinity
A dear brother uses the word “parts” when referring to the Persons of the Trinity. Below is my explanation that the word "part" doesn't apply to God at all.
“When Jesus was on the cross, He was clearly praying to His Father, a Person, not a part. Understandably, the Trinity is incomprehensible. What we do believe is that God is one. Even Jesus taught that truth (Mark 12:29). Jesus also questioned the Pharisees about His being called the Son of David, even though David, by the Holy Spirit, called Him "Lord" (Matt. 22:41-46). Jesus quoted Psalm 110:1 to show them that only by the Holy Spirit David believed in the Father ("Lord") and the Son ("Lord") as distinct Persons (not parts) and at the same time Jesus was a physical descendant of David. It was a complicated question. Note how the people responded in Matt. 22:46. They had no idea of the Trinity which no one can ever fully understand but can be enlightened by the Holy Spirit of the Trinity's reality (see John 14:26; 16:13-15). So, those who deny the Trinity have not been enlightened by the Holy Spirit.
To me, the chart below is the best illustration of the Trinity.
Blessings!
