Agree to Disagree.
Thank you, brothers, for your perspectives. I respectfully disagree with you, assuming there is room for that. As your brother-in-Christ, I will always love you no matter what you believe. There's never been unanimous agreement about anything among believers in Christ. That's why there are so many church denominations. Jesus wants His followers to be one just as He and the Father are one:
"The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one" (John 17:22). The devil has succeeded time and time again in many ways to keep believers divided. We've lost sight of the worse division.
That is the division between man and God because of sin (Isa. 59:1-2). "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Rom. 3:23). No one is exempted, and only Jesus has solved the problem for all who believe in Him (John 3:26).
The Civil War is the worse disaster that's ever occurred in American history (over 600,000 killed). Believers were on both sides, including blacks fighting for the South. Today's "civil war" is between a multitude of ideologies. Unless believers-in-Christ return to thinking biblically, the downfall of America will escalate. We must agree on Christian essentials and allow the Holy Spirit to empower us to be witnesses to Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8).
From a brother with a broken heart.
Blessings!
