The Importance of the Blood of Jesus
I frequently text my grandchildren to share an uplifting thought. They love it.
Here’s what I text today:
“Good morning, my sparkling jewels.
Praise God for another day. Gigi (my grandchildren's nickname for me) had to give a sampling of blood to his doctor this morning. That's one way doctors check the health of their patients. My blood type is O Positive. It's the best type. Yours might be the same since you're my grandchildren. God gave us blood so that it circulates through our veins carrying cells, proteins, etc. It keeps us alive. God said, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood" (Leviticus 17:11).
When the Bible says Jesus shed His blood for our sins, it really means Jesus died for our sins. Why? Because the loss of blood is the same as the loss of life.
But, Jesus also rose from the dead because He has power over death. Therefore, He's a wonderful living Savior who saves anyone who believes in Him from the guilt and condemnation of sin. Wow! Praise Him!
Blessings!
