Should God Apologize?

Romans 1:18-32 can help us see the stark distinction between America’s present and her past by acknowledging radical changes over the course of her history. The Bible can be used to shows parallels between Israel’s history and America’s history. Since God judged His people Israel for their wickedness, why would He exempt America for hers? As someone once said, God would owe Sodom and Gomorrah an apology if He doesn’t judge America. He certainly would, but He won’t have to apologize because He is holy and must judge.
However, let’s not go with the flow. Let’s trust in God and his holy word. Let’s pray to him on behalf of our country. Let’s show his love by telling people about Jesus, his sacrifice for their sin, and his resurrection from the dead. Let’s not be like Lot who had to be practically dragged out of a wicked environment (Gen. 19:16) nor like Jonah who didn’t want to be a witness for the Lord (Jonah 1.1-3). May God help us let our light shine so it can be seen, and God gets the glory (Matt. 5:16). 🙏🏾
