Preaching and Teaching God’s Word

Good morning, my dear readers.
A pastor named T.White plays the old game of pretexting and adding his ideas to the God’s word. That’s what all false teachers do.
S. Noonan, another preacher, would do better if he preached straight from an opened Bible. That way, he would avoid a few minor "glitches" in his theology. Otherwise, he does well.
Bible exposition is always the best way to preach and teach God's word. Also, using good cross-references for the subject of the main text.
For example, the context of John 3:16 starts at verse 1 to verse 21. While there are lots of relevant cross-references, John 3:36 and Rom. 8:31-39 comes to my mind. Bottom line: a sinner, though he is loved by God, must believe in Jesus to experience "everlasting life" and God's unfailing love which only believers in Christ experience.
Notice, both texts are relevant and true. Pretexting and proof texting are illegitimate hermeneutical methods. Here's why:
"Pretexting refers to creating a false scenario to obtain information, while prooftexting involves using isolated passages from a text, especially the Bible, to support a specific argument without considering the original context. Both practices can lead to misunderstandings and misinterpretations” (equippedservant.com).
That why Paul wrote,
"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth" (2 Tim. 2:15).
I hope that helps.
Blessings!
