Loving Folks at a Distance

Showing grace (unmerited favor) is always a top priority (John 8:1-11). Sinners can accept or reject it. Churches are filled with folks who act like they've accepted it. It's difficult to identify them. However, if they claim to be a believer ("called a brother" or a sister), and haven't departed "from iniquity" (2 Tim. 2:19), then do "not even to eat with such a person” (1 Cor. 5:11).
But, "Yet do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother" (2 Thess. 3:15). I believe in keeping the door wide open for grace. If an unbeliever or believer refuses to enter, I'll love him/her at a distance, praying that he/she comes to Jesus who will save his/her soul.
Blessings!
