“He Brought Me From A Mighty Long Way”

Only the Lord knows how many breaths I have taken after living 78 years. My mind reflects on Psalm 139:13-18. It’s an amazing passage regarding God’s knowledge of all humans even prior to their conception. He also knew that 21 years after my birth, I would come to know His Son, Jesus, as my Savior. Now, after 78 years, I can certainly say as one old song puts it, “He brought me from a mighty long way.” I have come to know what those words really mean. I don’t know how close I am to the “finish line,” but, as a former track runner, I’ll keep running and looking to Jesus who will meet me there.
