From Lost, to Catholic (still lost), to Baptist (trusted Christ), to Nondenominational

I recently viewed a testimony on YouTube of a former Muslim named Mario Joseph (his changed name) speaking at a Catholic Church in 2016 (https:/youtu.beWjUXd4qW9mg). He’s very steeped in Roman Catholicism, being committed to doctrines that are sternly unacceptable to many non-Catholics. As a former Catholic, I’m thankful that God liberated me from their belief system. Once I believe in Christ as my Savior, I never worshipped in a Catholic Church again, though I attended weddings and funerals there. Thankfully, the little Baptist mission in Lompoc, California (10 miles south of Vandenberg AFB) I attended encouraged me to read the Bible. I did, almost all 66 books in a year. My hunger for more biblical knowledge drove me to pursue Bible training. I changed my college major from Bus. Admin. to Biblical & Religious Studies with a minor in History. I constantly prayed against spiritual pride and alienation from my church family, biological family, and friends. God’s word really became a “…lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105). I hope Mario Joseph’s mind gets illuminated with biblical truth and thus be liberated from Roman Catholicism. As to myself, I’m nondenominational, but most of all I’m born again!

Blessings!
