My Testimony

Over the last 20 years, I’ve had at least

Four colonoscopies,

Four biopsies,

and Three MRI’s.

Recently, a genetic study was done to see if I have any cancerous genes.

Each time, I have been cancer free, including no cancerous genes.

My oncologist had been concerned because my father, mother, sister, brother, paternal aunt, and maternal grandfather had cancer, and except for my mother, all of them died of cancer.  The big question is, why am I, a prime target for cancer, free of it? The oncologist doesn’t know why, but I do.

The answer is God is protecting me from cancer, and as long as He is doing it, I’ll never get cancer. For that I am deeply grateful to God. It is God’s mercy which means He is withholding what I deserve.

His grace has given me what I don’t deserve, salvation. I deserve worse than any fatal disease and to go to the worse place in the universe, hell. But, because of my faith in Christ, I am justified (declared innocent).

Romans 3:26 says, “for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”

That means God is currently demonstrating His righteousness against which all men have sinned (Rom. 3:23). Therefore, God is “just” (fair) to judge sinners. However, Jesus was judged for all sinners. His judgment brought justification (innocence) for sinners

“who has faith in Jesus.” Therefore, God is called “the justifier.” In other words, as “the

justifier,” God is declaring believers in Christ innocent. Not having cancer has nothing to do with my salvation. It has to do with my physical condition. But, justification has to do with my spiritual life. If I were to die of cancer, I would still be justified and eventually would get a (sin free) changed body (Phil. 3:21; 1 Cor. 15:50-57).

To God be the glory.

Blessings.
