Mixing Pagan Myths with Scripture

There are theologian who mingle extra-biblical material, including ancient myths and pagan ideologies, with biblical truth to determine their interpretation of Scripture instead of relying upon the Holy Spirit (1 Peter 1:20-21).
Such a practice is why one popular theologian came to the conclusion that Adam was not a real person but is a symbol of a primitive society. Many even go so far as to deny the historicity of Genesis 1-11. Therefore, to them God's word is not the final authority, but ancient pagan myths! They are imprisoned to their human logic instead of being liberated by wisdom from God (Prov. 1:7) that comes from the truth of His word. Jesus said, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free” (John 8:31b-32).
Putting pagan literature above Scripture enslaves one’s mind to Satan’s lies.
Trust God’s word.
Blessings!
